Guide for Clubs

For the club as a whole: claiming, inviting the roster, Club Rank, team stats, chat and the farm club.

Chel only Bench Boss is exclusively for Chel (EA NHL's EASHL club mode, 6s and 3s) at this time. Versus and other modes may come later.

Getting started

Where Open the app link from your club

  1. Bench Boss is Chel only: EASHL club games (6s and 3s). Versus and other modes aren't tracked.
  2. Bench Boss saves games only for clubs with a Club plan or beta access. Grades, coaching and the editor come with it.
  3. If the plan ends, new games stop being saved right away. Your history is held 45 days: re-subscribe in time and it all comes back; on day 45 it's deleted for good. Player accounts stay. Chat is temporary and is never held for the 45 days.
  4. Share one app link with the whole roster in your party chat or Discord.
Claiming your club

Where Website → Claim

  1. Search your club by name on the Claim page and pick the right platform and division.
  2. Prove the gamertag is yours: sign in with Xbox, or on PlayStation paste the short code we give you into your PSN “About me”.
  3. We check that gamertag is actually on the club's EA roster.
  4. Pay the Club plan to finish. The claim is provisional for 7 days: if another member challenges it, the roster votes and the majority wins.
  5. Already claimed by someone else? Use “Challenge this claim” on the club's page instead of creating a second one.
Home

Where Bottom bar → Home

  1. Home is the club's scoreboard: rank, last night's results and every skater who dressed, best grade first.
  2. Who's skating best on Home ranks your skaters by grade for the last game or last night, with a one-tap “why” for each. Ties share a rank, and a skater with under 10 minutes of ice gets a dash, not a grade.
  3. Only players who played appear. Nobody gets graded for a game they missed.
Reading your grades

Where Home, Coach, Stats → tap a player

  1. Everyone who dressed sees everyone's grades. That's the point: no hiding a rough night.
  2. Games where the opponent quits still count; games your club excludes don't.
Coach tab

Where Bottom bar → Coach

  1. The Team card at the top grades the whole club and names the one thing to fix first.
Stats

Where Bottom bar → Stats

  1. The Club Rank card at the top shows your division, set points and record. Last game, Last night and All switch every table below it.
  2. Team chips under that: record for the window, Last 10 (season only), Goals for / gm, Goals against / gm, Goal diff / gm, GV:TK, TOA / gm and Games. French mode uses 10 derniers, Buts pour / match, Buts contre / match, Diff. de buts / match and Parties.
  3. Games lists every game of the season with opponent, division and score.
Check-ins

Where Who's playing?

  1. Coaches: set tonight's Puck drop at the top of the check-in sheet. Pick the date and time in your own time zone and tap Set (Clear removes it). Everyone sees it in their own time, and the time buttons start from it.
  2. Check-ins open from the ☑ button in the top bar. Each player taps every rink spot they'll play (LW, C, RW, LD, RD, G) or Out tonight. The top line counts players in and whether F, D and G are covered.
  3. Check-ins keep the party-chat "who's on?" back-and-forth in one place. Everyone sees the same answer.
Post-game grades & Check EA now

Where Home → “Data from EA · updated” line

  1. One “Grades are in” alert goes out per game, not one per player or per refresh.
  2. Nothing showing after a few minutes? EA sometimes runs late. Tap Check EA now again in a bit; the games will still come in.
Alerts

Where Gear → Settings → Alerts

  1. Alerts are per phone and per player. Your settings never change anyone else's.
  2. Quiet hours follow each player's own clock, so a club spread across time zones doesn't wake anybody up.
Team Chat

Where Chat button (top bar)

  1. Chat is roster-only. Keep it for the club: clips, who's on tonight.
Film

Where Bottom bar → Film

  1. Games are streamed (for example on Twitch) and split per game, including quit games.
  2. Save the club's Twitch channel in Profile so film can find the streams.
Scout

Where Bottom bar → Scout

  1. The win chance shows every term that makes up the number, nothing hidden.
  2. Tap See how rivals scout us › to view your own club through the same Scout other teams open before puck drop: their win chance, our key player and who skated.
Scout · Schedule (strength of schedule)

Where Scout → Schedule

  1. Compare your schedule with your farm club's. Lower average division means a harder schedule.
  2. These numbers are a snapshot, refreshed from time to time, not live.
Scout · Farm / Prospects

Where Scout → Farm / Prospects

  1. Your farm club is kept fully separate: its games never touch your stats, or Club Rank.
Grading editor

Where Gear → Settings → Grading → Edit grading (PIN)

  1. The grading version applies to the whole club and to the farm club's provisional letters.
Profile, Settings & extras

Where Profile · gear · Club

  1. Settings holds the season start, so new seasons begin with a clean slate.
Account & Career

Where Website → Sign up / Log in

  1. Don't want your club listed publicly? Use Opt out on the website.
